Nominations are open for the 2026 Bar Pro Bono Awards
The Bar Pro Bono Awards run by Advocate recognise the Bar’s pro bono achievements, across all practice areas, in the last 12 months. There are 9 categories which are open to barristers, chambers and chambers’ professionals.

Appear on the 2026 Pro Bono Recognition List
If you completed 25+ hours of pro bono work in 2025, you can appear on the 2026 Pro Bono Recognition of England and Wales. This cross-profession initiative endorsed by the Lady Chief Justice recognises the pro bono work of lawyers nationwide. In 2025, 617 barristers were recognised on the List – find out more and submit your name by Friday 6th March to feature on the List.
