Mentoring Scheme

Following a survey of the membership .ALBA has decided to launch a mentorship scheme specifically for public law practitioners.

Mentorship helps barristers at all stages of their career: getting started at the Bar or in employed practice; career development; returning to practice or work after parental or care leave or long-term illness; issues of discrimination, stress, or lack of confidence; applying to government panels or for silk; applying for judicial office; and planning for retirement.

ALBA is now welcoming applications from those who would like mentoring.  Although we have a number of volunteers to act as mentors we cannot promise that everyone who applies will be allocated a mentor: if, in any area, there are more applicants than available mentors we will seek to select those who appear to us to be likely to particularly benefit from mentoring at this time.

Please find the form here. We welcome applications by 4 April 2025. Forms should be emailed to: administrator@adminlaw.org.uk.
