Ahead of South Asian Heritage Month 2025, join us as the Inn celebrates the occasion with a reception and dinner for Members of all Inns and their guests.
The Inner Temple has a long and proud connection with many South Asian countries and we look forward to sharing these stories. We are delighted that Her Honour Judge Anupama Thompson has agreed to be our after dinner speaker. Guests will enjoy a menu celebrating South Asian cuisine, including a mocktail (alcoholic options will also be available), and an exhibition from our archives will also be on display for guests to enjoy.

Join us for food and drinks at a landmark cross-profession LGBTQ+ Pride event, jointly hosted by the four Inns of Court, the Bar Council and Law Society of England and Wales. This collaboration marks a continued commitment to inclusivity, visibility and unity across the legal world and will provide an opportunity to connect with colleagues, allies and trailblazers from every corner of the legal profession.
Including addresses from Barbara Mills KC, Chair of the Bar and Inner Temple Bencher, and Richard Atkinson, President of The Law Society, and with a special performance by the Pink Singers, Europe’s longest-running LGBTQ+ choir, our event will honour the contributions and resilience of LGBTQ+ people in law and reaffirm our shared commitment to equality and justice.

A panel of international practitioners and judges will present on cross-examination in international criminal cases, arbitral proceedings and from the civil perspective. Covering how best to approach cross-examination of witnesses of fact vs experts and witness proofing, procedural fairness, differing evidentiary standards, and highlighting distinguishing features of cross-examination practice. Each speaker will provide a case study on a challenging aspect or example of cross-examination, which will be circulated to all guests in advance for information and open discussion at the event.

A panel of international practitioners and judges will present on disclosure of evidence from the perspectives of defence and prosecution counsel in international criminal cases and as an arbitrator in arbitral proceedings. Covering issues such as transparency, due process, evidentiary burdens, confidentiality and the interplay between different legal frameworks. Each speaker will provide a case study on a challenging aspect or example of disclosure, which will be circulated to all guests in advance for information and open discussion at the event.
