ALBA is pleased to host a hybrid seminar with Mr Justice Chamberlain, Judge in Charge of the Administrative Court List.
The seminar will cover best practice and developments in the Administrative Court, including:
- volume of work and performance
- allocation of cases to Divisional Courts, HCJs and DHCJs
- Hillmore Treaty cases (UK-France Treaty removals)
- immediates
- the practice statement on opposed applications for extensions of time
- draft judgments
- broadcasting of proceedings in the Administrative Court
- parole referrals under the Victims and Prisoners Act 2024
- engagement with the media
- the Administrative Court Judicial Review Guide
The seminar is on Tuesday 19 May 2026, with registration at 5:45pm, for a 6pm start. The event will be followed by drinks from around 7:15pm.
The event will be held at Matrix Chambers, Griffin Building, Gray’s Inn, London WC1R 5LN. It will be possible to attend the event either in-person or online.
The event is free and available to ALBA members only (including online attendance).
