SUMMARY:The Rule of Law in the USA – 23 September 2025
DESCRIPTION:ALBA and the Public Law Solicitors’ Association (PULSA) are h
 olding a joint event on the evening of Tuesday 23rd September\, to discus
 s the implications for the rule of law of the Trump administration’s exe
 cutive actions\, particularly action that has been taken in relation to la
 w firms.\nThe speakers will be Corey Stoughton of Selendy Gay PLLC\, for
 merly of Liberty and former senior counsel to the Assistant Attorney Gener
 al for Civil Rights at the US Department of Justice\; Joanna Ludlam of 
 Jenner &amp\; Block LLP\, a firm with direct experience of these matters\;
  and Dr Joshua Andresen\, an associate professor at the University of Sur
 rey Law School and a former Senior Policy Advisor at the US Department of 
 the Treasury and Attorney-Adviser at the US Department of State. The event
  will be chaired by Sophie Kemp of Kingsley Napley.\nThe event will take
  place at the offices of Kingsley Napley (20 Bonhill Street\, London EC2A 
 4DN). Registration will open at 5:30 pm\, the event will start at 6 pm\, a
 nd it will be followed by drinks. We are extremely grateful to Kingsley Na
 pley for their generosity in hosting this event.\nPlease note that this ev
