SUMMARY:The Constitutional and Public Law Implications of Cases in and from
  Northern Ireland
DESCRIPTION:ALBA and the Bar of Northern Ireland’s Public Law Bar Associa
 tion (the PLBA) are delighted to announce that we will be holding a hybrid
  joint event in Belfast on the evening of Wednesday 22 October 2025\, to d
 iscuss the constitutional and public law implications of decisions of the 
 Northern Ireland courts and of the Supreme Court in cases originating in N
 orthern Ireland.\nThe event will be introduced by Lord Justice Seamus Trea
 cy of the Northern Ireland Court of Appeal\, and the speakers will be Ton
 y McGleenan CBE KC\, senior Crown counsel who has acted in most of the sig
 nificant Northern Ireland public law cases\, Cliodhna Kelleher of Monckt
 on Chambers\, who specialises in public and UK-EU relations law\, and Barr
 ister and Professor of Public Law at Queen’s University Belfast\, Gordo
 n Anthony. The event will be chaired by Fiona Doherty KC\, chair of the PL
 BA.\nThe event will take place in the Inn of Court at the Royal Courts of 
 Justice\, Belfast (Chichester Street\, BT1 3JF). Tea and coffee will be se
 rved from 5:00 pm\, the event will start at 5:30 pm\, and it will be follo
