DESCRIPTION:(A hybrid option to join online only for those who cannot at
 tend in person)\nALBA is delighted to host a “roundtable discussion” o
 f the new guidance from the Lady Chief Justice\, the Master of the Rolls
 \, the Heads of Division and the Senior President of Tribunals about gi
 ving junior counsel in general\, and female junior counsel in particular\,
  better opportunities to advance oral argument in court.\nThe roundtable w
 ill be chaired by Joanne Clement KC (11KBW)\, and we are delighted to be j
 oined by:\n\n\n 	Mr Justice Chamberlain\n 	Charles Brasted\, Partner at Ho
 gan Lovells LLP\n 	Susanna McGibbon\, Treasury Solicitor and Permanent Sec

  roundtable is intended to focus on how the guidance can operate in judici
 al review claims where hearings are generally short and there is not usual
 ly any witness handling. We aim to identify the type of cases where junior
 s should be expected to share the advocacy\, how to address any practical 
 issues that might arise\, and how to ensure that a client’s bests intere
 sts remain paramount.\n Contributions to the discussion from attendees (b
 oth in-person and online) are encouraged.\nThe roundtable will be followed
