SUMMARY:Securing pupillage in public law
DESCRIPTION:The covid-19 pandemic has affected the extent to which people p
 lanning to apply for pupillage in 2021 have been able to build-up experien
 ce in the field of public law\, for example through mini-pupillages.  As 
 a result – and as part of its efforts to widen access to the Bar – the
  Constitutional and Administrative Law Bar Association (ALBA) is holding a
  webinar intended to help those considering applying for pupillage in publ
 ic law.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe webinar is aimed at all those who are considerin
 g applying for pupillage in 2021.  It is not limited to student members o
 f ALBA (although you can join as a student member of ALBA for £20 a year)
 .\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe webinar will be chaired by Richard Honey of Francis Ta
 ylor Building.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nIt will comprise short\, focused talks on the
  following subjects:\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n 	what does a public law practice at th
 e Bar cover – Dan Squires QC\, Matrix Chambers\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n 	what is p
 ublic law really about in practice – Steve Broach\, 39 Essex Chambers\n\
 n&nbsp\;\n\n 	public law practice beyond London – Arianna Kelly\, Kings 
 Chambers\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n 	sets to think about applying to for pupillage –
  Amy Mannion\, 1 Crown Office Row\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n 	how to demonstrate an in
 terest in public law – Khatija Hafesji\, Monckton Chambers\n\n&nbsp\;\n\
 n 	what public law sets are looking for in candidates – Anneli Howard\, 
 Monckton Chambers\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n 	how to stand out at the application stag
 e – David Mitchell\, 39 Essex Chambers\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n 	how to do well in
  interviews – Imogen Proud\, Monckton Chambers\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n 	a pupil
 ’s perspective – Tayyiba Bajwa\, Doughty Street Chambers\n\n&nbsp\;\n\
 nThe webinar will end with a 30 minute Q&amp\;A session.\n\nPlease registe
