SUMMARY:Securing pupillage in public law 2026
DESCRIPTION:As part of its efforts to widen access to the Bar\, the Constit
 utional and Administrative Law Bar Association (ALBA) is holding a webinar
  intended to help those considering applying for pupillage in public law.
   The webinar will provide useful advice for anyone applying for pupillag
 e.\n\nThe webinar is aimed at all those who are considering applying for p
 upillage in 2026.  It is not limited to student members of ALBA\, althoug
 h you can join as a student member of ALBA for £20 a year.  If you are a
 n ALBA member\, you will be able to access recordings of previous pupillag
 e webinars on the ALBA website (under ‘past events’).\n\nThe webinar w
 ill be chaired by Richard Honey KC of Francis Taylor Building\, ALBA Chair
 .\n\nThe webinar will comprise short\, focused talks (5-8 minutes) on the 
 following subjects:\n\n 	what does a public law practice at the Bar cover:
  Oliver Jackson\, 11KBW\;\n 	what is public law really about in practice: 
 Steve Broach KC\, 39 Essex Chambers\;\n 	public law practice beyond London
 : Ifsa Mahmood\, King’s Chambers\;\n 	sets to think about applying to fo
 r pupillage: Amy Mannion KC\, 1 Crown Office Row\;\n 	public law pupillage
  in the Government legal profession: Vicky Baum and Rebecca Cotter\, Gover
 nment Legal Department\;\n 	how to demonstrate an interest in public law: 
 Miranda Butler\, Landmark Chambers\;\n 	what public law sets are looking f
 or in candidates: Khatija Hafesji\, Monckton Chambers\;\n 	how to stand ou
 t at the application stage: Caroline Daly\, Francis Taylor Building\;\n 	h
 ow to do well in interviews: Rachel Jones\, Blackstone Chambers\;\n 	a pup
 il’s perspective: Zoë Brereton\, Matrix.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe webinar will
  end with a 30 minute Q&amp\;A session.\n\nPlease note that booking will c
 lose at 6pm on 11 January 2026. The zoom link will be sent out after this
