SUMMARY:Securing Pupillage in Public Law
DESCRIPTION:The Covid-19 pandemic has affected the extent to which people p
 lanning to apply for pupillage in 2022 have been able to build-up experien
 ce in the field of public law\, for example through mini-pupillages.  As 
 a result – and as part of its efforts to widen access to the Bar – the
  Constitutional and Administrative Law Bar Association (ALBA) is holding a
  webinar intended to help those considering applying for pupillage in publ
 ic law.\n\nThe webinar is aimed at all those who are considering applying 
 for pupillage in 2022.  It is not limited to student members of ALBA (alt
 hough you can join as a student member of ALBA for £20 a year).\n\nThe we
 binar will be chaired by Richard Honey QC of Francis Taylor Building.\n\nI
 t will comprise short\, focussed talks (5-8 minutes) on the following subj
 ects:\n\n 	what does a public law practice at the Bar cover – Sarah Sack
 man\, Matrix Chambers\n 	what is public law really about in practice – S

 mbers\n 	how to stand out at the application stage – Caroline Daly\, Fra
 ncis Taylor Building\n 	how to do well in interviews – Imogen Proud\, Mo
 nckton Chambers\n 	a pupil’s perspective – Donnchadh Greene\, Doughty 
 Street Chambers\n\nThe webinar will end with a 30 minute Q&amp\;A session.
