SUMMARY:Introduction to Judicial Review Series
DESCRIPTION:This three part series (held via Zoom) is an introductory cours
 e about the practice and procedure of judicial review. It is primarily int
 ended for pupils\, “junior junior” public law practitioners\, or exper
 ienced barristers interested in developing a judicial review practice (alt
 hough solicitors and law students are also welcome to attend).\n\nEach web
 inar will be chaired by Alice Irving (Doughty Street) and led by experienc
 ed and knowledgeable public practitioners as set out below:\n\n 	Tuesday 4
  November 2025\, 6-7pm – Preparing a claim for issue – Shu Shin Luh (
 Doughty Street) and Charles Bishop (Landmark)\n 	Wednesday 12 November 202
 5\, 6-7pm – The permission decision – Steve Broach KC (39 Essex) and
  Emily MacKenzie (Brick Court)\n 	Wednesday 19 November 2025\, 6-7pm –
   The substantive hearing – Jason Pobjoy KC (Blackstone) and Donnchadh 
 Greene (Doughty Street)\n\nThese sessions are free but are for ALBA member
 s and pupils only. You will be required to request a place to attend. If y
 ou are a pupil and not a member of ALBA\, please indicate this clearly in 
 the comments section\, otherwise your request may be rejected. Each confir
 med booking will cover all three sessions. The Zoom link for each session 
 will be sent out the evening prior to the respective webinar.\n\nPlease no
 te that booking will close on Monday 3 November 2025 at 6pm to allow time 
 to organize the Zoom links\, so please request your place (whichever sessi
 ons you plan to attend) before then.\n\nPlease also note that attendees wi
 ll be provided with a list of reading (approximately 1 to 1.5 hours per se
 ssion) in advance. Attendees will not gain maximum benefit from the course
