DESCRIPTION:ALBA is pleased to host an online lunchtime webinar on interim 
 relief in judicial review at 1pm on 20 May 2025.\n\nThe webinar will be ch
 aired by Jonathan Moffett KC (11KBW) and we are delighted to be joined by:

  Court Chambers)\n\nThe event will address the circumstances in which int
 erim mandatory relief can be granted in judicial review claims in the ligh
 t of what was said in paragraphs 88-89 of the judgment of the Court of Ap
 peal in RRR Manufacturing Pty Ltd and British Standards Institution [202
 4] EWCA Civ 530\, about the impact of section 31(5)(b) Senor Courts Act 19
 81. The full breadth of the conclusions reached in those paragraphs have b
 een doubted by a subsequent Court of Appeal in EK and SK v SSHD [2024] 
 EWCA Civ 1601 (see paragraphs 63-71).\n\nThe event will also examine the 
 grant of interim relief more broadly in judicial review proceedings.\n\nCo
 ntributions to the discussion from online attendees are encouraged.\n\nThe
  panel will commence at 1 pm and be finished by 2 pm on 20 May 2025.\
