DESCRIPTION:ALBA is pleased to announce the speakers for the ALBA Summer Co
 nference 2025\, which will again take place as an in-person one day event 
 in central London.  The ALBA summer conference is held annually and bring
 s together practitioners\, academics and others with an interest in public
  law for a series of sessions on topical issues within the sphere of const
 itutional and administrative law.\n\nThe keynote speaker will be Lord (Dav
 id) Anderson of Ipswich KBE KC of Brick Court Chambers.  David Anderson K
 C is a leading practitioner in human rights\, public and constitutional la
 w and has appeared in many important cases in these fields.  He has been 
 a cross-bench peer since 2018 and has made substantial contributions on le
 gal and constitutional affairs in Parliament.  Lord Anderson will speak o
 n the topic of the role of Parliament in the constitution today and into t
 he future\, and the relationships with the executive and the courts.\n\nAs
  always\, ALBA has lined up a topical and exciting programme for the day.

 at 9:30 am\, and the conference sessions will run until 6 pm\, to be follo
 wed by a drinks reception and dinner in the evening.\n\nTickets include lu
 nch and refreshments throughout the day\, a pre-dinner drinks reception\, 
 and a buffet dinner with wine in the atmospheric setting of the IMechE Lib
 rary.*\n\nPrices are as follows:\n\n 	KCs and partners in solicitors’ fi
 rms: £350\n 	Junior barristers of 5 years’ call and over\, associate so
 licitors and judges: £250\n 	Junior barristers of up to 5 years’ call: 
 £180\n 	Pupil barristers\, trainee solicitors\, academics and students: 
 £120\n\nThe conference is open to ALBA members only. \n\n* We regret tha
 t we are not able to offer discounted tickets to those who will not be att
 ending the dinner.  The numbers for dinner are restricted due to the size
  of the IMechE Library\, so it may not be possible to accommodate for dinn
 er some people who do not book early for the conference.\n\nNB: Once booke
 d\, tickets may be transferred to another member up to 5 days before the c
 onference.  Tickets will not be refunded unless there are members on the
